Children of immigrants often face many challenges. You may be struggling with feeling guilty, lonely, stressed, anxious, depressed, or overwhelmed with responsibility. You may be thinking you're not good enough or like you don't belong. You might be having issues setting boundaries with family or stuck between wanting to meet your family's expectations but also living your life on your own terms. You might even be feeling shame for seeking help in therapy.

Therapy can help provide a safe space to help you explore your experience as a child of immigrants and/or being the first generation to attend a college or university.

Therapy can help you with:

  • learning the language to describe your experiences

  • processing situations and thoughts

  • learning to feel your feelings

  • changing unhelpful behaviors

  • setting boundaries with others including family

  • communicating your needs

  • practicing self-compassion

  • confronting fears

  • feeling more confident and motivated

  • learning to ask for and accept help

  • developing your own expectations

It’s a sign of strength to ask for help. If you’re ready to get started, click the button.
